Hello from Carol & Tom!

I  am a native of this area. I was 6 years old when the dam was built. My  father's trucking company hauled the concrete for the construction of  the Smith Mountain Dam. After college, I entered the world of Marketing  and Advertising, taking me from Moneta, Virginia to the bright lights of  New York.  In the early 1980's, a friend offered me the chance to  return to Smith Mountain Lake to help advertise and market a new  project, Bernard's Landing Resort.
